Study
Opportunities at St. James
Resolution
adopted at the January 22, 2006 Annual Meeting:
-
Whereas
we live by a faith that is not blind but a faith that actively
seeks to understand; and
-
Whereas
each of us has room to grow in our understanding of God and the
Christian faith; and
-
Whereas
in order to follow Christ it helps to get to know Christ better;
and
-
Whereas
the process of making disciples necessarily includes an
educational component; and
-
Whereas
in order to truly live the gospel we need a deepening
understanding of the gospel;
Therefore be it resolved that we, the members of St. James,
commit ourselves to the faith practice of study in the year
2006; and
Be it further resolved that each member undertake some specific
course of learning, either individually or as part of a group.
