Youth Ministry at St. James

We hold that youth are not the church of the tomorrow but the church of today.  We strive to provide appropriate and engaging programs for youth of all ages here at Saint James.

College Age Students:  Blessings on you as your live out your faith in your dorms and your classes.  Let your light so shine that others may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.  Please make sure to let us know your current mailing address so we can correspond with you and get care packages to the right place.

James Group:   The James Group led worship on April 20.  We were blessed!  Our 2008 High School Graduates were honored at the 10:45 am service and with a breakfast.  Check back soon for more James Group event information.

Middle School:  Gno-me is on for May 11 at 5:30 pm.  See you then.  (**See the box at left.)

Resolution Passed

The following resolution passed at the January 27th Annual Financial Meeting:

Whereas the congregation of St. James is committed to youth ministry; and

Whereas the Grow with God campaign objectives include support of a leader in youth ministry; and

Whereas a trained and experienced leader can provide substance to our program;

Therefore be it resolved that in 2008, up to $15,000 of Grow with God funds will be committed to a part time lay youth director position at St. James.

James Group:  We have chosen our destination for our summer service mission trip with Youthworks!.  We will be going to Bayou La Batre, AL which is a coastal town on the southwest corner of Alabama.  Click here to learn more about the Youthworks! site at Bayou La Batre
