Back in 2013 our devotions for Advent consisted of selections written by members of St. James. They were asked to reflect on the rich themes presented in the first chapter of Luke’s gospel, a chapter which serves as a beautiful prelude to the Christmas story in chapter two.
Upon reviewing those devotions it seemed a good idea to share them again. Some members were not yet with us in 2013 and all of us can be enriched by these encouraging words. The title, JESUS B.C., invites us to imagine the fullness of that time immediately before the Christ Child was born.
Advent is a season of anticipation of the fulfillment of God’s promises. Day by day I invite you to take time to read these devotions and reflect on how Christ continues to come into our world and into your life. The daily selections will also be shared with you by email, so you can forward them to friends.
Read, reflect and rejoice!
