God's Work. Our Hands.
Second Thursday of each month from 10am-Noon
St. James has adopted this ELCA theme - watch for it on a regular basis! Specifically, this phrase will identify opportunities for us to participate in a call to service as disciples. "But be sure to fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things He has done for you." 1 Samuel 12:24.
A new opportunity has been created the 2nd Thursday of each month Join in fellowship and invite friends. Light refreshments will be provided and there will be time for conversation while hands are busy in service. Every month, we'll do an "in-reach" project, putting together care envelopes to mail to students from within our St. James family who are away at college. At 11am, we'll engage in conversation with members of the Social Ministry Outreach Committee regarding current needs and opportunities to provide help over the next few months.
Stop by, enjoy the company, and do works of service as we live into our baptismal promise to, "serve all people following the example of Jesus".
